Solidarity in Song

What is Solidarity in Song?
Solidarity in Song is an annual public event presented by The New Music Conflagration, Inc., which seeks to unite all members of our community through music. The event combines performances of contemporary concert music with local social services. It is free and open to the entire community.

What will be performed?
In 2014, The New Music Conflagration, Inc. invited composers from across the globe to submit songs on the themes of unity, strength, and solidarity. From this pool of works we chose four works, which we feel express our community’s beautiful diversity through song.

Oseh Shalom – For Cantor and SATB Chorus with Piano by Joshua Fishbein
Music In My Soul– For SATB Chorus with Piano, Bass, and Drums by Mike Strikland
Hail to the spirit that unites us by Michael Steer
Refuge for Unaccompanied SATB Chorus by Devin Farney

How can I participate?
Solidarity in Song is free for the public to attend. We encourage those members of our community who love to sing to contact us for more information about how they can join our Solidarity Choir.
