The New Music Conflagration, Inc. will present a series of Saturday workshops open to community composers and those interested in writing music, throughout the month of June 2017. All levels of musical experience are welcome to attend.
Subjects covered throughout the series will include music history, music theory, electronic music, preparing scores for performers, how to recruit players for concerts, as well as organizational techniques.
Notebooks, pencils, staff paper, and supplemental materials will be provided. Instructors will be available for assistance throughout the week via email.
At the end of the program, participant composers will have the opportunity to present their works in a public concert at The St. Petersburg Main Branch Library on July 16, 2017 at 3pm. The program will be recorded in Pro Tools and professionally edited. Participating composers will have access to the archival recordings.
While anyone is welcome to audit, participant composer spaces are limited for direct individualized instruction. Please register your participant composer spot for each session today!
