Lorenzo began music as a child, first studying classical guitar for four years, then turning to acoustic and electric guitar, deepening jazz and advanced techniques. Live performances and first explorations into music composition began for Lorenzo in the 1990s. In 2009 he began an apprenticeship with Mauro Montalbetti. His career has been decorated with honours including: a certificate of merit at International Competition for Guitar Composition “Suoni di legno”, with a work for solo classic guitar, 3rd prize at International Composition Competition “Assisi suono sacro” with a work for solo piano, 3rd prize at International Composition Competition “Cav. Angelo Rizzardi” with a work for youth orchestra. His works are published by Sconfinarte and is an active member of Italian Society for Contemporary Music.
What sparked your interest in toy piano?
A commission received in 2014 and the discovering of a beautiful instrument.
What do you hope to achieve artistically or educationally from your participation in the festival?
I hope to improve my curriculum, to know new musicians and to be performed in USA
